Altitude: 1,200 - 1,500 Meters

Varieties: Catimor, Bourbon, Typica and Caturra

Process: Wet Hulled & Sun Dried

Certifications: Ketiara is organic, fair trade, and shade grown certified

“The Ketiara Cooperative was established in 2009 by 38 members. In 2011, after joining the Fair Trade movement, the Co-Op decided to restructure the overall organization into 100% small farm holders.  Current membership is 1,979 smallholders. 

Madame Rahmah is the chairwoman and founder of the Ketiara Co-Op.  20 years ago she began as a small trader, purchasing only a few kilos of cherries, hand processing, and delivering them to local exporters. Now, Ketiara exports an average of 70 metric tons per month.” Keffa Coffee
